The thesis is related to the story of the chinese immigration in the world, in Europe, in France and in Paris:

1) with the very old historic migration strategies of the chinese overseas;

2) with the economic successes, socio-cultural aspects and development of the Chinese communities in the world and in Europe;

3) with interviews of Chinese people and the story of the Chinese in France and of the immigration in Paris.

The matter of illegal Chinese immigrants; interviews with Asians from the Parisian "Chinatowns"; how the Chinese communities have integrated and fitted in in France; geopolitical and historical migratory strategies of the Chinese, the origin of immigration from south-east China.

The objective of this thesis titled "The Chinese in Paris" is provide a better understanding of the integration of the Chinese in Paris, and of the illegal Chinese immigrants.

Before the affect of this on the consequences on immigration in France can be determined, it is necessary to discover the origins of the development of Chinese immigration in Paris. In the context of the "media", and in a country where the debates on Islam and immigration remain very much alive, the illegal Chinese immigrant movement has destabilised the secret Chinese communities in Paris. The consensus of straight-forward integration is fragile.

The thesis proposes three scientific books

1. The first recounts the movement of the illegal Chinese immigrants and contains eight stories and six interviews from respected Chinese locals in the "Chinatowns of Paris";
   
2. The second retraces the historic journeys made by the Chinese community both in Paris and in France; strategies and conquests, economic successes, socio-cultural aspects and development separate from the French community;
   
3. The third takes the historical source and the story of the diaspora in the world & seas of southern China. In conclusion of this thesis, we should note the split between the younger and the older generations and the complexity of the chinese communities.

The traditional Chinese people in contact with the diaspora hope to keep their privileges and their abilities. The opinions collected are contradictory and different, but the legendary "wall of silence" of the Chinese communities in France is fragile after the Chinese after the new economic immigration, the movement of the illegal Chinese immigrants in France and the 50th anniversary of the declaration of the rights of man.©
